Undated possibly 1980s booklet reprinting the reminisences of one Mr. Lesquereux, recounting how Alessandro Manzoni, a 53 old man operating of a young ladies boarding school in the Swiss Jura, in 1872 bought the failing ebauches factory of Voyeboeuf transfered the machinery to his native village of Arogno in the italian speaking Ticino area and started the first watch factory south of the alps, under the management of Mr. Challet.
