Includes short biographies of Watch and Clockmakers, including one for Peter Henlein who is misidentified as Andreas Heinlein "This Heinlein is almost the first who found out how to make small clocks in musk balls". Musk balls, the scent bottles of the time, were pierced hollow brass speres, hinged to open. This supports the theory of G mbel that pre 1524 watches were in shereical cases not drum shaped (no surviving drum shaped examples are known pre 1524). There exists a record of payment 1524 of 15 Florins to H.Henlein for a guilt musk-ball with watch {Fur 1 vergulten psyn Appfel fur all Ding mit einem Oaiologium}. The manuscript of the craftsmans directory of Neudoerffer (said to be part of the Campe Collection) was updated by Gulden in 1660, and first printed in Nuernberg 1828, with a later edition in Vienna in 1875.
