N2  - First edition in Italian of the works of French mathematician Oronce Fine, who was professor in the Collège du Roi at Paris, as well as a talented artist. and#x2021;b The work is arranged in five parts, with the first four on arithmetic, geometry, cosmology and horology translated by the noted Florentine geometer, Cosimo Bartoli, who was himself the author of a popular work on mensuration.  The part dealing with horology is of special interest, as it contains a description and drawing of a clepsydra or water clock, Fine's invention.  The fifth part, Gli specchi ("On mirrors") was translated by Ercole Bottrigari
