Honderdvijftig jaar na de lancering van het eerste Roskopf-horloge en meer dan een miljard Roskopf-horloges later is dit niet te vroeg. Niet alle Roskopf-horloges worden in dit boek behandeld. De auteurs beperken zich aanvankelijk tot de horloges van Georges-Frédéric Roskopf, zijn zoon Fritz-Edouard en zijn kleinzoon Louis-Frédéric en hun respectievelijke opvolgers. Daarnaast worden ook negen andere fabrikanten van goed onderhouden Roskopf- of Rosskopf-horloges uitgelicht. De anonieme fabrikanten van horloges onder de naam "Système Roskopf" en "G(en)re Roskopf"; The first book in Dutch dedicated to Georges-Frédéric Roskopf and the watch that bears his name. One hundred and fifty years after the launch of the first Roskopf watch and more than one billion Roskopf watches later, this is not too soon. Not all Roskopf watches are covered in this book. The authors initially limit themselves to the watches made by Georges-Frédéric Roskopf, his son Fritz-Edouard and his grandson Louis-Frédéric and their respective successors.
