N2  - Every watchmaker and watch enthusiast is familiar with the problem of fine-tuning a watch with a balance wheel. The "Reglage Book" by author and teacher Hans Jendritzki is finally being published here in German after it is still in great demand in English and French today. This German first edition was initially to be a translation of the English and French editions from 1960 (the book was also published in Japanese in 1967). In the meantime, however, Jendritzki's original German manuscript - which was thought to be lost for a long time - has turned up again. Of course, this old manuscript still went through expert hands (M. Grünig, A. Noethen, M. Horlbeck, F. Roesky) and was first compared with the French edition, and then supplemented with the English edition and the Jendritzki archive will. This is the most complete edition of a Jendritzki fine tuning book! The work of Hans Apel, a colleague of Jendritzki's, was also honored with an appendix. With his knowledge, he had contributed significantly to this book at the time. And in his appendix, M. Grünig has pointed out further "regulation subtleties" as taught in current watchmaking training
