Scholarly reedition of the 1589 instructions written in Kassel when Jobst Buergi and Rothman were first developing methods and instruments in thw 1580 to accuratly map stars. Page 42ff discuss the clocks that were used including Baldeweins Kassel Planetary clock, as well as the so called Observatoriums UhrI by Buergi (ca 1585-1591), and noting for the first time the use of a seconds showing clock, in star transit observations (see folio 11-v)
