Plates contain drawings with construction diagrams, elevations, and enlargements of moldings and other details. This reprint includes a biographical sketch of Thomas Chippendale by N.I. Bienenstock, and a supplement of photographs of eighteenth-century Chippendale-style pieces and pieces executed by Chippendale.
