A color illustrated monograph on the clocks of Xanten Cathedral {Germany}. Xanten has had a cathedral since 1263, and there are documents refering to a clock since 1376, the oldest surviving movement is dated 1554 (restored to runnable condition 2012 by Joseph Schroer). The current princiopal movement dates from 1927 (Korfhage), the new Angelus Bell of 1962 is electronically operated.
