Gay Galsworthy, Artist & Illustrator, via WWW, July 27, 2015 (About Gay Galsworthy; educated at King Alfred's School in Hampstead, then went to Hammersmith School of Art for about a year before his parents moved to Waltham Abbey; he then went to The South West Essex Technical College and School of Art where he studied painting and lithography which gave him The National Diploma of Design (NDD); he then had to do National Service in The Royal Army Education Corps as a teacher in Germany; when demobbed, he worked for Kempster and Evans, mural painters for a year or so before going on his own doing illustrations and book jackets; he teamed up with Peter Edwards doing exhibition work for the Central Office of Information painting murals and making models; over the years he married, kept a pub and had 3 children; he now lives on the Essex coast)
