Jean-Claude Biver restored Swiss watchmaking to its former glory in the 1980s and 1990s, when, faced with the arrival of Japanese quartz watches, he successively revived Blancpain, re-positioned Omega and gave new impetus to Porthole. He now heads the watch division of LVMH. His success goes hand-in-hand with a very strong vision of entrepreneurship, management and innovation, which makes him a pioneer, an inventor of new paths.
