The text of this textbook on repairing 20th century Swiss calendar watch calibers was originally written in German and published as a series of articles in a Swiss horological periodical in the early 1950s. At the same time it was also published in French translation in a French language Swiss periodical. Soon thereafter book versions were published in French and in English (but then not in German). This 2007 book is partially a facsimile of the original German articles, partially a "retranslation back into German" from the English book version as the first part of the text never made it into the german language article series.
